I handed in my first assignment of Sem 1.2! It was my CAYC lesson plan and...I'm not really confident about it. I had trouble getting started with my rationale because Ms Lavina hadn't really gone into much theory about the elements of music. I guess it's good that she's not spoonfeeding us, but my God, I'll be so thankful if I can get at least a B for it :/

On that same day, I went for some enrichment talk with Edwyna, Magdalene and Syafiqa! All for 1 CCA point HAHA Well at least the sandwiches they served afterwards were good (the mini cheesecakes tasted weird though), and I learnt some new stuff! It made me miss the Sec 3 OCIP trip to Laos a lot, since the talk was about how the lady's organisation helped the children in Laos to improve their life through sports (rugby, mainly) ^ㅅ^ Afterwards, we went for dinner at Makan Place, and I'm so thankful that we've finally bonded and gotten closer after 6 months LOL

First field prac session of the semester~ I'm glad I'm in the same attachment centre with Jean again - I'm not good with change. Ms Jasmine asked me to get attached to the Nursery class, since I'm going to carry out my CAYC lesson plan with them. I felt a little sad having to part with Jean (LOLOL) but it's a good change :3 Ms Jeremin is really nice too so ^ㅅ^

OH OH AND I was blowdrying the girls' hair after their bath time and...my hair got stuck in the back of the hairdryer HAHAHA At first I panicked and didn't know what to do, so I accidentally lifted my arm higher and got more hair stuck inside L O L Eventually I managed to turn the hairdryer off and called for Ms Jeremin (I totally felt like one of the Nursery kids at that moment...), who helped me to slowly disentangled my hair ㅠ_ㅠ And the kids were laughing at me the entire time omg so embarrassing /)_(\ I lost some strands of hair along the way but at least I didn't have to cut off a whole lock (which had been my initial plan LOL)! Gonna sport a ponytail for attachment from now on LMAO

Rahmuna treated us to Pizza Hut for lunch with her Toys R Us pay! I felt a little bad since it wasn't necessary at all but oh well, I'll treat her next time HAHA I had the chicken pomodoro, and it was quite good *ㅅ* We ordered a BBQ chicken pizza to share, though it was quite small. We also ordered fries and chicken wings to share, though Rahmuna finished more than half of the chicken wings HAHA

Chris, Herman, Syaf and I went to the library, but they all left at around 4+ so I was alone all the way till 6, when it was time for my BPNP Comm interview ;ㅅ; At first I reached the Holding Room, but it was empty except for 2 sheets of paper on the table...I lingered around for a few minutes, before finally just going in. There were instructions to do a personality test, and wait to get called for the interview. What was really funny was that I was also asked to state whether I was Green (single & available), Yellow (single & unavailable/somebody in mind) or Red (unavailable) HAHAHAHA The personality test was the Four Colour Pesonality Test, and I got the most Greens, I think? Anyway, I Googled for the analysis of the results and I think it's pretty accurate!
A strong Green individual lives in a world of intangibles where hopes, dreams and emotions are most important. You look at the big picture, are not detail oriented, and like to explore possibilities and alternative ways of doing things. You march to your own drummer and frequently find it difficult to get on the same wavelength as others. This often puts pressure on your relationships. You have a rich vivid imagination and thrive in an atmosphere that encourages the use of your creative abilities and talent. Your intuition is highly developed and you seem to be able to sense what others are feeling.

Tendencies
Supportive, agreeable, loyal, self-controlled, consistent, good listener, opportunity to develop personal relationships

Ideal situation
Sincere appreciation by others, minimal conflict between people, security, acknowledgement of work by others, limited territory, traditional procedures, opportunity to develop personal relationships

Weaknesses
Resists change, trouble meeting deadlines, overly lenient with people, procrastinates, indecisive, holds grudges, overly possessive, lacks initiative

Needs others to provide
Push to try new challenges, help in solving difficult problems, initiative and accepting change

Personal growth area
Facing confrontation and dealing with it, moving at a faster pace and initiating more
The interview was pretty stressful because it was a panel interview - 8 Exco members vs. me ㅠ_ㅠ Even though they were all pretty friendly, I think I rambled on and on and was a little incoherent some parts here and there. Ah whatever, I'm just glad it's over ㅠ_ㅠ It would be nice if I got a leadership position but if not then...so be it? Hehe.

Woke up with a swollen left eyelid =ㅅ= Idek what happened, only that my eyes were a little dry the previous night. It was pretty noticeable, though I only realised when I'd put on my contact lenses? So I took them out and decided to wear my glasses to school. Along the day the swelling reduced, but at its peak hour it looked like I had one single eyelid and a double eyelid LMAO

Idk why but I decided to wait for Edwyna and Tai Wen to finish their interviews and have dinner with them in school (even though none of us ended up eating a proper dinner anyway LOL). I had fun talking to them (as always) in Munch afterwards, all the way till it closed HAHA

Anyway, recently, I feel like dying my hair because well...why not? Well actually I've always wanted to dye my hair after graduating CGS but now that I'm finally in a school that doesn't have restrictions about what I do to my hair and I'm at the age where I'm allowed to experiment with it, I should just go do it, right. But I still have so many concerns...

The first one being, what colour I should dye it? I've always wanted to try wine red or dark purple/blue, but it's going to suck when my roots start to grow out. Also, I'm not sure if I can deal with my hair staining my pillowcase/clothes lmao The second concern is that whether it'd be appropriate for me to dye my hair since I still have field practicum? I mean, technically I only go to my attachment centre once a week, but I don't want the teachers to judge me...then again, I'm still a ///student///. Also, I believe that the teachers at my attachment centre are nice people HAHA And just...askdjfhakfdl WHAT.

ECH Fiesta Day 1 was today~! It was pretty...boring, tbh lmao

Went to the Attic at 10AM, and I thought I was going to be late so after getting 2 full elevators, I decided to climb 5 storeys (after climbing that God forsaken hil!!1!!!11) to the Attic, where I then realised that nobody cared if you were late or not LOL There were booths set up by both industry partners as well as some of the ECH/CPEE seniors showcasing their projects and stuff. Those were pretty cool. I didn't check out the industry partners' booths because, y'know, I'm already a NFC scholar, and for some reason I think I'm going to work there even after my bond ends HAHA

Handmade Guess Who game made by one of Isabelle's friend!! I won the round ╮(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)╭

At first I thought these were supposed to be miniature xiao long baos but no, they were just counters LMAO

Handmade puppets!

We were supposed to stay there till 12PM, but it was seriously too boring, and since the rest of our clique left without telling us (lolol), Isabelle and I headed to Blk 51 to just...chill? HAHA We sat down and talked for a little while, before Shaun called Isabelle and asked if she wanted to have lunch with him and his friend at Makan Place. Since I knew Shaun from H.O.T, I decided to tag along too hehe I bought some sushi since I hadn't had breakfast (I need to stop this from turning into a habit...), and we chatted with Shaun and his friend for some time before we went to the Music Box for the next agenda (Professional Development Forum), which I managed to skip because Sarah and I had volunteered to help Jiajin with the catered lunch whoop whoop ヽ(・ω・)ノ

Isabelle helped me take care of my camera while I was on lunch duty n_n

It was pretty tiring, but we managed to pack the lunches/drinks/dessert for the whole ECH cohort \o/ Two of the mango pudding dropped onto the floor and their containers cracked, but since they hadn't touched the floor, Sarah and I ended up eating them HAHAHA

After lunch, we headed back to the Music Box for the Talent/Knowledge Quest! This was definitely the highlight of the day LMAO We had to wait quite a while outside the Music Box so that means...

(Ms Norami actually ran to join us HAHAHA)

HAHA

Anati has the best faces, I swear.

One of the Year 3 classes performed an MJ mash-up, and it was so awesome. If I were given the choice to either be able to sing or dance well, I would definitely choose the latter. Idk, whenever I see people who are great dancers I just feel so...awestruck *ㅅ* Unfortunately, they didn't get 1st place :(

But but but! 1T01 WON THE KNOWLEDGE QUEST YAAAAAAAAAAAAY (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ It was so intense, because we (obviously) couldn't tell them the answers, and it was so frustrating when we knew the answers but they didn't lmao BUT STILL, YAY \o/

Our champions hehe (this was Round 1)

The Malays celebrating our win HAHA

I DIDN'T KNOW THEY WERE LOOKING AT MY CAMERA OMG LOL

And I shall end here, because there's still Day 2 tomorrow, though I think I won't be taking photos then since I'm in the Amazing...Race...segment...HAHA

Just some photos that I took after I first got Haejihomi and was itching to photograph anything and everything in my house HAHA They've been lying around on my desktop for quite a while so I might as well just post all of them here before the number of random photos increases lmao

Finally got around to buying the DVD for this! It's kind of sucky though, I don't really like the font for the subtitles and they cut out the nude scenes lol

#teamlazy

This muscle tank I bought from an instashop took more than a month to come HAHA BUT I LIKE IT

Ah, the things I'd do to relive 6th July 2013.

Chocolates Daddy bought from Japan! But tbh I realised that you can buy the exact same flavours from a Japanese shop in Tiong Bahru Plaza LMAO

The super cute fanart Wubin drew of me and Howon for my birthday HEHEHE I really love how she drew my CNY outfit + super short bangs back then LOL

And some shots of people from F☆lling St☆rs HAHAHA

I love Isabelle's "wtf" face in this even though it's technically a candid shot HAHA My timer was on for some reason, so she moved before it ended.

Ok I should probably go pack for TCP camp already lol bye.

Thursday (22/08/2013)
Rahmuna invited us to her house for Hari Raya~ I actually didn't know what to expect because it was my first time going to a Malay friend's house for Hari Raya. I also had a hard time picking an outfit because we had to wear jeans, and nowadays my outfits mainly consists of shorts and tops HAHA We were supposed to meet at 2.30PM but for some reason, everyone (except Herman) was late so we only met at like, 3PM HAHAHA

ONE OF MY FAVOURITE SHOWS EVER

This was really nice, whatever it is HAHA

Rendang chicken! That I didn't eat because I was scared it'd be too spicy for me 8(

Sweet and sour fish! *ㅅ*

See that jar second from the right, the one with the honey cornflakes? I almost finished the whole jar HAHA

After eating we decided to play this charades game HAHAHA

Also, guess who won the entire game, with 9 correct answers? ╮(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)╭

After that, we watched Easy A, which I'd coincidentally planned on watching the day before but didn't HAHA IT'S SO FUNNY THOUGH why did I not watch it when it was first released 2 years ago.

...oh because it was NC16 then LOL Oh well. It was really great, I give it a 8/10 n_n

Friday (23/08/2013)
I got invited to the NTUC First Campus Come LIVE Inspire event, which is basically like a Staff Day for the teachers and staff who work at the various NFC centres? I met Celine (the only other Year 1 NP NFC scholar) at a coffee shop at Khatib MRT (I was late again sobs I really need to fix this bad habit of mine), and her dad drove us to Orchid Country Club! It was really far in, and obviously only meant for rich people who have their own transportation (even though there was actually a shuttle bus service from Yishun MRT HAHA)

When we reached, everyone was wearing the green NFC shirt except for the both of us, so I guess we really stood out LOL We then met Wendy, who we'd met at the scholarship award ceremony at the start of this month. She gave us our own NFC shirts (I kind of ordered a size too small...lol oh well), and then we met some of the other scholars! Most were from Temasek Poly, though there were two other seniors from NP as well :3

Celine and I! My mouth's open because I was screaming about the red light flash HAHA

This was one of the stations and honestly, the photo doesn't even come close to how pretty it was (even though it was just fake fauna + fairy lights.)

They had this room that had free cupcakes/popcorn/candy floss/ice cream/guppy fishing pool service.

The photo booth was super popular! It was my first time seeing older women being so enthusiastic about it HAHA

Right after most of the scholars got their free manicure, they decided to participate in a game of Tug-of-War HAHAHA So bad ass right. It's not obvious here but our hands were really red after ㅠ_ㅠ AND WE WON HAHAHA Maybe the other team (from HQ) just let us win LOL

The toasted rings the other scholars made!

I was too awkward to ask for a group selca after everyone had taken theirs so here's a ninja shot LOL

It was really nice being able to meet new friends in the early childhood field! It's a pity that I can't see attend the ECDA award ceremony this Friday because of my TCP Empowerment Camp, but I'm sure we'll get to see each other some other time!

Speaking of which, my TCP camp is this Wednesday to Friday, and I've yet to receive my packing list/camp schedule?! Like, they told us the organiser would send us the stuff at least a week before the camp =ㅅ= /cue abrupt ending to this post
